Terminal and service
Confirm the exact boarding terminal, destination jetty, operator and departure date. Separate a regular passenger service from a hired sightseeing boat. Ask whether a ticket covers a seat, berth, cabin or whole boat.
Boat, launch and ship travel
Confirm the terminal, weather and return connection.
Weather and equipment
Check BMD riverport or marine warnings for the relevant route. Confirm life jackets of suitable sizes before boarding a sightseeing boat. Follow current authority instructions and do not assume moonlight indicates safe conditions.
Return and essentials
Keep belongings in a water-resistant bag and save the boat operator’s contact. Confirm the return jetty and last service before setting off. Budget food, cabin and onward transport separately if not included.
