YOUR TRIP, MADE SIMPLE
October - March
Build your own budget: outbound and return fares, room rate × nights, meals, local transport or guide, and entry fees. Split only shared costs within a group. Current prices are not confirmed here; ask providers for a direct quote.
Ghoorism planning suggestion: a half day, or a full day including the museum.
For a family trip, check beds, washrooms, travel breaks and meals before leaving. Keep fewer stops for children and older travelers. Confirm wheelchair or step-free access directly rather than assuming it is available.
BUILD YOUR ESTIMATE
Enter confirmed rates; these are not live prices. Room count assumes two people sharing.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN
A flexible starting outline. Confirm travel times, access and return schedules before finalising.

GET TO KNOW THE PLACE
Constructed between late 19th and early 20th century, Panam City comprises 52 preserved heritage buildings lining a single street, adjacent to the Folk Art Museum of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin.
Plan your route from Dhaka to Sonargaon and the local transfer to Panam Nagar separately. If also visiting the folk art museum, check each site’s opening and entry arrangements independently; do not assume one ticket covers both.
October - March
Respect local communities. Carry out your rubbish, ask before taking portraits and use a local guide where appropriate. Check current weather and access before setting off.
A day trip from Dhaka is an option. For an overnight stay, check the accommodation location, meals and next-day transport directly. An overnight stay is not required just to visit Panam Nagar.
Plan a meal stop in Sonargaon and agree the price beforehand. Keep food and waste out of protected historic buildings.

Specify Panam, museum and return stops when negotiating local auto or rickshaw transport. Ask about waiting charges rather than assuming all short trips cost the same.
Stay within permitted visitor areas. If hiring a guide, ask about their identity and the basis of their interpretation. Do not climb damaged structures or enter buildings without permission.
Allow time for Sonargaon’s historic setting and Panam’s architecture. When buying traditional crafts, ask about the maker and materials. Avoid buying archaeological objects.
Allow a buffer for Dhaka traffic. Arrange the connection from local transport to your main return route. The museum’s last entry time is not your departure time.
Transport, opening times, permissions and conditions change. Confirm locally before travelling. Photography credits and licenses are linked above.
