Liberation War Museum

About

The Liberation War Museum in Agargaon introduces the struggle for Bangladesh’s independence through documents, photographs and objects. Founded in 1996, it moved into this purpose-built museum in 2017. Give the exhibits time: a visit is more rewarding when you read the context rather than just photograph the building.

How to reach

Use the Agargaon museum address: Plot F11/A and F11/B, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Civic Centre, Dhaka. Check the entrance on Maps and arrange the last part of your journey from Agargaon. This is not the old Segunbagicha site or the separate Jalladkhana memorial in Mirpur.

Best time

The official site lists 10am–5pm, with Sunday closed, and 10am–4pm during Ramadan. Confirm holiday changes and the latest notice before travelling: 09611677223.
